Piedmont Addition is a neighborhood in the southeastern part of Dallas County, Texas. The boundaries are loosely defined as Highway 175 (CF Hawn Freeway) to the west, Loop 12 to the east and Highway 352 (Scyene Road) to the north. It is somewhat triangular in shape. Residents most commonly identify their ethnicity or ancestry as Mexican (64.0%). In addition, 32.4% of the residents of this neighborhood were born in another country.
Many of the residences in the Piedmont Addition neighborhood are older, well-established, built between 1940 and 1969 with a second wave of residences built between 1970 and 1999. Piedmont Addition is a great place to be which can be noted by an extremely low vacancy rate. Real estate in the area is primarily made up of small sized to medium single-family homes. With most properties falling into the age range of 25-80 years old, the homes are comfortable, older homes that may need a little TLC. Older hardwood floors typically are very sturdy, seemingly much more so that new hardwood floors. As an added bonus, the Great Trinity Forest borders the community to the west giving quick access to the 6,000 acre park.
