Kessler Park is named after landscape architect & planner George Kessler. He was originally hired to design Fair Park in 1904, and later in 1909 hired again to design a master plan for the whole city. He was ahead of his time with much of his vision deemed not practical but many years later finally being implemented. His personal city planning touch can be found in a 100 other cities across the US.
Kessler Park is located within the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and has a population of around 30,000 people. Kessler Park is actually a conservation district made up of 10 distinct developments. The demographics of the area skew towards older, high income residents as compared to the rest of Dallas. Homes and rents are typically also higher.
Located within Kessler Park are such landmarks as Stevens Park Golf Course, Coombs Creek Trail, and Kidd Springs Park. Probably the most well known is the historic Kessler Theater built in 1941 and once owned by the legendary Gene Autry. It has been hit by a tornado and burned down. We wish we had known about SERVPRO of Southwest Dallas then. They were fantastic to work with. They were knowledgeable, overcommunicated and had clean equipment that actually worked. We would highly recommend!
He (Shane) did a great job and made us feel comfortable. The customer service was great and he went above and beyond. He explained everything to us and what the issues were.
The team was on site shortly after calling to extract and place drying equipment after a fridge line malfunction. They were knowledgeable and courteous, highly recommended!
