Located about 10 miles North of the city in a setting of beautiful wetlands and floodplains is Ridgefield. Once home to the Cathlapotle people and documented in the journals of the Lewis and Clark expedition as a site of trade in 1805. It wasn't until 1882 that the first church was built and although it is no longer a church, it is still standing today in downtown Ridgefield on Main Avenue.
Today, the town has experienced exponential growth and yet gives you the small town feel, perfect for raising a family. The amenities seem endless; outdoor recreation, almost monthly community events, restaurants, wineries, Ilani (a Vegas style casino) and even the RV Inn Style Resorts Amphitheater is located here, named the largest outdoor amphitheater in the local metropolitan area.
Clark County, WA sees its fair share of precipitation each year. With an average of 46.9in of rain annually, surrounded by waterways, river and stream levels can become a concern. Just a few quick words about SERVPRO of Vancouver:
Obviously nobody wants to have to a disaster in their home like we did, but thankfully, SERVPRO fixed everything in minimal time and the job they did was fantastic!
We called right after an upstairs flood. Andrew, a Technician, was on call and called us back immediately. Andrew came out right away, accompanied by Cody. Both were knowledgeable, professional, respectful (wore face masks during COVID pandemic) and thorough - putting us immediately at ease about all of our worries.
In the end, they were careful to only tear down the minimal amount of drywall necessary. Erica in the office handled the insurance and helped us through the process.
Hopefully it will be a long time before we have any further flooding or emergencies, but we would certainly use SERVPRO of Vancouver again if we had to. Highly recommend!!!
