The Whatcom County Library System has a branch in Ferndale and sponsors numerous events throughout the year. On May 1st, the Do Something Good Club meets from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Ferndale Conference Room to help prepare thank-you cards and assist with library-related duties. The Ferndale Art + Audio club meets from 3 to 4 p.m. on May 19th, also in the Ferndale Conference Room. Check the library's website for many other events.
In late July, the Whatcom Old Settlers Pioneer Days Grand Parade takes place. Final details will be announced on the city's website. There will also be a pioneer classic car show, picnics, crafts and food at Pioneer Park, and much more.

I wanted to express my gratitude for the assistance by American Cross for the ensuing aftermath of recovering from the fire at my apartment building which left me (3rd floor Unit) and all the other tenants in the building complex without a home.
This gratitude also extends to Matt DeSpain and SERVPRO for which they have provided their services to clean and restore smoke and water damaged clothing items to their usable state that would have been costly to do. Matt personally went out of his way to pick up two trash bag quantities of clothing items and returned and restored in two nicely packed boxes. I understand this service was graciously extended to other tenants as well. We are fortunate to have organizations such as these that step up to help the community that finds itself in unfortunate circumstances such as this.

SERVPRO helped my mom when she had a water heater failure. They were quickly at her house cleaning up water and drying her floors.
With a recent water leak, they were out the same day I called. Everyone was extremely nice and respectful.
Matt DT is awesome & their crew is great. Nobody wants to call this number, but they're a savior when you need them.
I called SERVPRO of Bellingham this morning with a flooded carpet in the building of the non-profit I volunteer at. They were very responsive, sending out a hard working team, Ricky and Chris, who extracted the water from that carpet. Then the owner generously provided fans and humidifiers to make sure the clean up was complete. This experience with SERVPRO has been great. I recommend them to anyone in need.
