Located in the western half of Henrico County and bordered to the south by the James River, Tuckahoe, Virginia offers a quiet suburban lifestyle just outside the hustle and bustle of Richmond City. Like most areas of Central Virginia, Tuckahoe has its fair share of notable historical sites. The biggest of which is the Historic Tuckahoe Plantation. This plantation was established in 1714, with the still standing mansion being built in the 1730s and 1740s. When the original owners of the home passed away their long-time friend Peter Jefferson and cousin Jane Jefferson moved onto the property to take care of the children left behind, bringing along their children including none other than Thomas Jefferson. It was in the one-room schoolhouse on this plantation, that Thomas Jefferson received his first education, and spent many of the formative years of his youth. Today, you can visit and get a guided tour of the property and main house, or just wander the grounds and gardens on your own. While Central Virginia is steeped in our nation’s history, there are many other fun things to do in Tuckahoe, such as taking a trip to the James River for some fishing or just to enjoy the weather along its many public accesses. Tuckahoe is also home to many parks such as Robious Landing, Cheswick, and the Huguenot Flatwater Park which is part of the James River Parks System.

He had a resident come talk to him about his apartment repairs and he took the time to answer all of his questions about what was going on and was so respectful and helpful to all of us while he was here. He went out of his way to fill me in whenever they were headed out for the day and checked with me to make sure I was happy with his work once he completed the projects. As I am sure you are aware, it is rare to see such great customer service nowadays so I wanted to share our experience.
Thank you for your quick response. Your people knew what needed to be done and treated us with respect and courtesy. It was a great relief to have your professional help and your personal direction through the whole process.
