Hooks is a small town with a great pizza place called Scooter's. The City of Hooks is located in eastern Bowie County Texas on Interstate Highway I-30 and U.S. Highway 82 between Texarkana and New Boston. The town grew up around Warren Hooks' plantation in the late 1830s. Rail service began in 1876. Shortly before the U.S. entered World War II, two large military installations, the Red River Army Depot and the Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, were constructed just south of the town, spurring growth dramatically. The City of Hooks was incorporated in 1942.

"We had an HVAC leak above the air intake crawl space. I had a fan on it for over a week, it just wouldn't dry, and the whole house started to smell like mildew. SERVPRO sent Corey King. He arrived on time and ready to fix our problem. The crawl space was still at 100% saturation. He treated the area for mold and then set up a dehydrator, fan, and a drain line. He said it would take 3 days to dry completely. He arrived 3 days later. He tested multiple areas of the crawl space to make sure it was dry, pulled all the equipment out and then he treated the crawl space and the hvac cabinet above it for mold one more time at my request. Corey was so professional and he was so patient with all our questions. I would definitely recommend SERVPRO to clean up after a leak/flood."
