The town of Highland Park, Tx was established in 1907 and is a separate town located within the boundaries of the city of Dallas. Built over eight decades ago, the iconic Highland Park Village was America’s very first shopping center and the inspiration for planned centers throughout the US. The Dallas Country Club, located in the heart of Highland Park was the very first country club in Texas and the second in the US.
While often considered part of Highland Park, University Park is also its own city inside the boundaries of Dallas, Texas. It’s the home of Southern Methodist University and the George W.
