Callaghan Texas from first sight looks like an empty land with not a whole but that’s where most are wrong. Callaghan is a small rural town outside of Laredo. It is a ranching hub in Webb county with an incredibly rich history.
Being established in 1881 and named after a local ranch owner Charles Callaghan. It is know for being a former cattle shipping stop on the international Great Northern Railroad. The railroad started in 1922 and started with 177 miles and went on to run for 1,106 miles. In more recent memory Callaghan is the sight of the Callaghan Ranch Airport.
Callaghan Ranch is a hot area. The climate is a dry heat because its smack dab in the middle of South Texas. The climate is one out of an old spaghetti western. It has its charm.
