History of Apison
The railroad came through what is now Apison in 1881. This was how the residents in the area started to get their mail instead of horse and buggy. The railroad officials orginially called this area O'Brien. It was changed because there was already a town close by with the same name. The name Apison finally came to be because of the large amounts of Apison rock found along the railroad tracks in the area. The area is still unincorporated, but it is considered a Census-Designated Place in Hamilton County. Apison is part of the Chattanooga, TN–GA Metropolitan Area.

We were very pleased with the work from start to finish. Tony's knowledge and professionalism really exemplifies his commitment to his job. If the need arises we will definitely use SERVPRO. Most definitely recommend this business.
