Known for its strong agricultural and transportation industries, Ellis, South Dakota is located just Northwest of Sioux Falls, and has acted as a hub connecting the many communities around Southeastern Sioux Falls. Known to many on the west side of Sioux Falls, Tea-Ellis road acts as a main road that connects Highway 42 to Ellis, Sioux Falls, and finally, Tea. On top of the roads connecting many towns, Ellis is best known for the Ellis and Eastern Railroad company which connects to Brandon, South Dakota about 15 miles east. The name of the town stems from this railroad company. A drive through town takes you past agricultural co-ops which show you that agriculture is the backbone of this small town economy.

The summer of 2022 saw Southeastern South Dakota rocked by three Derecho level storms causing untold damage throughout the area. Roofs were torn off, leading to a need for water damage restoration services to dry out affected attics and ceilings. Thankfully no electrical systems were affected that caused any need for fire damage restoration. It was a tough year on the farmers in the Ellis area, but if we know one thing about farmers, its their resilience.

Had a fire in my apartment building, & insurance sent these guys out. They packed up all my stuff & took it to their warehouse to clean the soot & fire smell out, then they held it all in storage until I was allowed to move back into my apartment. All my stuff came back safe & clean, and some of it looked better than it had before the fire. Definitely recommend them. :)
