Greenwood is blessed to an abundance of natural beauty which is centered around the 11,000 acre Lake Greenwood. The lake is 25 miles long and is also home to Greenwood State Park which provides year round camping and direct access to the lake. Greenwood is also home to Lander University which is the fastest growing university in the upstate. Cultural it has a thriving arts community and plays host every year to many large festivals, the largest of which are the Festival Of Discovery and the SC Festival of Flowers.
