Clinton was originally name Five Points as it was one of the stops on the Dutch Fork Line Railroad that transported passengers to Columbia and surrounding towns in the area. The original train depot still stands in downtown Clinton. The City of Clinton works with many programs to expand the business district and market events such as Rhythm on the Rails that brings the community together with Food, Music and Arts and Crafts.
Clinton is home to The Battle of Musgrove Mill that occurred in 1780 and the infamous Musgrove Mill Golf Club. The course is surrounded by wetlands and rough terrain – and considered one of the toughest courses to play in the State. South Carolina is known for some of the top Golf Courses in the United States and Musgrove Mill is one of the toughest in the State.

Dempsey’s Pizza a locally owned and operated icon restaurant was severely affected by a fire that broke out near an electrical panel in the stock room. There was considerable damage to the business, but SERVPRO was there. Although it took over four months to bring this icon back to life the team at SERVPRO was there – from start to finish – fire clean up and restoration – they were there, through it all to put this business – back in business.
