The history of Chisolm, South Carolina
Chisolm was named after William Chisolm, a former governor of South Carolina. This city has many historical landmarks such as the Chisolm Community Building and Fire Station, which were erected in 1910 and 1928 respectively. The Community Building became a library in 1955, before it was converted into a museum in 1971. The Fire Station was designed by George H. Brockie and renovated in 1980 to accommodate all rural firefighters within the county."
