The small town of Chappells, SC is located in Newberry County - Chappells is an uncorporated community named after the local Chappell family of pioneer citizens. The town was established before the Revolutionary War. Some areas of the town has survived over the years, but the old Main Street can barely be visible after suffering a tornadoes and floods. The downtown area contained a bank, jail and various businesses. There is so much history to explore in this small town – but you cannot leave without visiting The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant and Bar. A true hidden gem, serving up the most amazing food you will find in South Carolina. The Old Schoolhouse was remodeled to accommodate a restaurant atmosphere, but you can see the charm in every room, where many locals can remember the younger school days wandering the halls of this old schoolhouse. I contacted SERVPRO of Newberry and Laurens Counties and Mel was quick to respond he was at my house within and determined that I did have a leak - showed me where it was and checked for mold and set my mind at ease. NO MOLD - He went into detail as to what I needed to do and actually did half the demo for me! I would NOT hesitate to recommend this company! Thank you Mel - you rock!
