Middletown was founded in 1755 along the left bank of the Susquehanna River and was incorporated as a borough in 1828 after a sudden boom in development and population occurred as a result of the construction of the Union Canal, connecting Lancaster to Middletown. The Middletown Area Historical Society of Dauphin County, Inc., a not for profit Pennsylvania corporation has been in existence since 1974. The Society is dedicated to Collect, Preserve & Teachabout the great history of Middletown and the immediate surrounding areas. The society is made up of 100% volunteer Trustees and staff. The Society also owns and manages the historic Swatara Ferry House (shown left) which is on the National registry of Historic Places, as well as the Band Hall located next to the Ferry House.

Each SERVPRO team member for visited our home was professional and courtesy, even to our curious 4 year old. At the end of each day they cleaned up their work area, allowing our home to stay liveable.
Our Church got water in the basement Fellowship Hall after a heavy rain AND we had a wedding going on there THE NEXT DAY!! Joe and his team came out that night with his equipment. By 9am the next morning. . everything was dry and clean like nothing happened! Great Company!
