Wellington, OH is located in Lorain County, 20 miles south of Lake Erie. Wellington lies at the intersections of SR 58 and SR18. Settled in 1818 by five men from Connecticut and New York, Wellington's rich history is full of action and excitement. Today, Wellington is a growing village with booming businesses, industries, and organizations that have come and gone over the years, but there is still plenty here and the groundwork for future growth is being planned and constructed. At one time Wellington was known for being a large cheese producer and was known as the Cheese Capital of America with more than 40 factories producing cheese. Wellington Cheese Festival is held every year on the 3rd weekend of July to honor that heritage. Wellington, OH is known for its charming residential architecture, particularly on South Main Street where a collection of 19th and early 20th Century buildings still exist. The Spirit of 76 Museum located here in town is filled with memorabilia from local history, including oil paintings by Archibald Willard. Every year the Lorain County Fair offers a week-long family activity with rides, crafts, live music, and their famous demolition derby. Also held here is the Ohio Scottish Games, a festival that celebrates Scottish heritage and includes demonstrations of Scottish art and music. Bonnie Brae is a hundred-year-old champion Elk farm in Ohio’s gorgeous rolling countryside that is worth a visit. Outstanding response, outstanding customer service, everything you could ask for in a home emergency situation. We had a high pressure pipe burst in our basement, soaking a large storage shelf area and leaving 1"-2" of standing water in half the finished basement. SERVPRO of the North Coast was our second call (after a plumber!) and they were here with a full crew in a little over an hour. They went right to work and stayed with it until the standing water was gone and water-damaged items were inspected and removed to their truck. Dehumidifiers and fans were installed throughout the basement and over the next five days (weekend included!) they came and checked the basement and made necessary adjustments. We can't say enough about the SERVPRO crew members that came to our rescue---prompt, polite, hard working and knowledgeable. A great company with great folks. Thanks!
