Located in Clark County in the southwestern corner of Nevada, it's situated between the shoreline of Lake Meade to the south and Hoover Dam to the north. What is the history of Logandale, NV?
The city was first settled in the late 1800’s when the area was used as a cattle grazing area. Logandale’s population has risen slowly over the years, reaching 1,279 residents in 2010. Like many towns in Nevada, Logandale began as a small railroad stop. In 1869, the people of nearby Mesquite Canyon established a Mormon colony at the present site of Logandale. They named their settlement "Logandale" after two early settlers named John Roberts and Daniel Slater. By 1875, five miles of track had been laid on this spur line toward the mining town of Goldfield. Four years later, Southern Pacific and Wells Fargo also built railroads through the area and passenger service was introduced as well as stage stops along each route."
