Shrewsbury, NJ, is named after Shrewsbury, England. The current town was incorporated in 1926 but people settlers have been living there since the 1600’s. The local government changed several times over that time.
Shrewsbury has several commercial areas that include the upscale shops of The Grove on Route 35. Further down 35 is the Trader Joe’s shopping plaza along with several other strip malls. There are several historic buildings along Sycamore Avenue including the Allen House and Wardell House. Christ Church is an Episcopal church built in 1769 at the corner of Broad Street and Sycamore. The work was quality and Frank went above and beyond to help us through a stressful time by taking all the responsibility and coordinating plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, flooring, and mold and debris removal.
