Flat Rock, North Carolina is known for the famous Flat Rock Playhouse. The weather in Flat Rock, North Carolina is moderate and often sunny. December through March tend to bring on even warmer temperatures due to being much closer to the coast than Flat Rock. It is a small community with a population of just over 1300. The community lies on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is also surrounded by lakes and rivers. Things to do include fishing at some of the many lakes or rivers, golfing at one of the two golf courses or checking out the numerous restaurants and shops in town.
History of Flat Rock
About two hundred years ago, settlers began moving into the Flat Rock area of North Carolina. They came from all over the United States, including both New York and Virginia. The first settlers were attracted by plenty of good land for farms as well as beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. It was established as a community center during the early 1790s to support the burgeoning mill industry in South-central North Carolina and is one of the oldest towns in its region. There are several theories about how Flat Rock got its name, but the most common is that it was named for the shape of the east bank of Currie Creek where it flowed into Lake Trafalgar.

Back a few weeks ago I had a plumbing problem at my home. I had a good bit of water damage. I needed a restoration company and I was not sure who to call and a friend recommended SERVPRO. I called them and the very next day they sent a crew out to check out the damage and let me know what I needed. They got right to work that day cutting out all the flooring and carpet that was damaged and they brought in dehumidifier’s and fans. They came back the next day to remove some ceiling and see how everything was going. I had to keep all the equipment for several days but they came out several more times to check on the drying progress. Once everything was dry they came out to remove all the equipment. Patrick and Nick were the two guys that did the work and they were both so kind and very professional. I ask many questions (probably way too many) and they answered them all. They always called before coming out to see if it was a good time. They cleaned up after the work they did. I would definitely recommend SERVPRO and Patrick and Nick were the best!! I know if I ever had this problem again (I hope I don’t ) I know who to call. Thank you SERVPRO for doing such a great job and thank you Patrick and Nick. They were also so nice to my little dog Bodi who was really stressed out with everything that was going on.
Lori and Maddie, in addition to John, were amazing. When we reached out to John on a Sunday night after finding cigarette smoke in one of our rental properties, John called us back in minutes and Lori and Maddie were out before 9 a.m. the next morning! Lori and Maddie were so prompt and kind and provided excellent customer service!!
All personnel including dry out, construction and cleaning crews were caring and knowledge. Your business has good people.

We had a water leak in our kitchen and SERVPRO was on scene within 2 days of our insurance claim. Everyone was so knowledgeable and kind during this whole ordeal. Tim and Tracey gave step by step details on what was being done and when it would happen. Nick, Jay, Dean, and Patrick were thorough yet speedy with any part of the job they were doing. We were so impressed that we have hired SERVPRO to do the repairs that need to be done. These folks are so professional and great to work with. We are so pleased with their quality!
