Town and Country, Missouri is a city in west St. Louis County. The population was around 11,600 at the 2020 census. It is home to the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, known locally as MoBap.

History of St. Louis
The city was founded in 1764 by three Frenchmen, who had been granted land here by King Louis IX: Gilbert Antoine de St. Maxent, Pierre Laclede, and August Choteau—leaders of a local fur trading company. In 1877, St. Louis County was officially separated from the city of St. Louis by creating official boundaries around its territory and excluding the city itself (which remained inside those drawn lines).
