Rock Hill, Missouri is a suburb in St. Louis County. The town had a population of around 4,600 as of 2010 and is home to many attractions-- namely the Fairfax House, a house on the national historical registry.
Rock Hill's weather is unpredictable; the temperature has been known to fluctuate from one extreme to another within a single day. History of Rock Hill, Missouri
James Collier Marshall and his brother John Marshall purchased about 800 acres in what is now known as Rock Hill, where they built their log cabin and eventually Fairfax House.
Shortly after settling, the population grew, and a church was built on the Marshall's property. The reverend of the church named it Rock Hill Presbyterian Church after the geographical features he noticed in the area. The name stuck, and the town became Rock Hill.
