The history of Marlborough, Missouri dates back to 1818 when early explorers found the land to be fertile for farming. While some of the original settlers were veterans of the Civil War, most were families looking to build a better life. The initial migration was successful with thriving businesses, including breweries and wineries, as well as several churches.
