An unincorporated community that is located within Central Minnesota is Watab Township in Benton County, Minnesota. Its location is north of the mouth of the Watab Creek which is on the other side of the Mississippi River in Sartell. Some nearby towns that this township is located near are Sartell, Sauk Rapids and Rice.
The first thing that was to ever open in the township of Watab was a trading post back in 1848 by a man named Asa White. Asa White is also known to be the first man that was to reside in the township of Watab county in this same year. A year after he had opened the trading post, it was bought out from a gentleman in Sauk Rapids who also had a trading post. The township has been able to maintain the small town atmosphere that was created back then over the years.
Watab, Minnesota has a chance to experience all four seasons that come with the Minnesota weather: winter, spring, summer, and fall.
