Glen Hills Cleanup and Restoration

The community known as Glen Hills includes several neighborhoods located directly southwest of the City of Rockville between Watts Branch and Piney Branch. The development of this area started in the 1950s and continued in earnest through the early 1970s. One of the main features of the area is being renovated to make it even better. The playground at Glen Hills Local Park is expanding. The new playground will include a set of swings that accommodate toddlers, older children, and children with physical disabilities, as well as a new play structure, a freestanding net climber, and a freestanding spring rider. Renovation to the park will integrate imaginative and interactive play including two hand drums, and an interactive puzzle. A solid roof above each platform provides shade to the play areas.
