Chaptico sits on the Chapticio Run which turns into a bay where it enters the Wicomico River. This area is rich in history with Native American History the Native tribe were called the Chaptico. This small town served as a shipping point in the 18thcentury until it was severely damaged by the British during the War of 1812. Chaptico is also home to many different properties that are listed on National Register of Historic Places, such as Bachelor’s Hope, Christ Episcopal Church, and Deep Falls.
If you are ever in the area be sure to check out a highlight of Chaptico and local favorite is the Chaptico Market at the roundabout between Budds Creek Road and Maddox. This small market and meat deli has been in operations since 1965 and is family owned and operated. The Chaptico Market is known for its friendly staff, famous stuffed ham, country sausage, and fried chicken.

In April 2021 I had the misfortune of water damage cause by my tenant. SERVPRO's Mitigation team worked efficiently and professionally with both me and my tenant, but when it came to the repair work, led by Mr. Pat Cannon, the team went above and beyond. Mr. Cannon's knowledge of the insurance system, superb communication, and general construction knowledge made the situation as painless as possible. I could not be happier to have worked with such a consummate professional. I highly recommend this team for any cleanup and/or restoration.
We are so thankful for SERVPRO, we called them needing our AC units cleaned for summer time- it was a new house and they had black mold in them. Within 24 hours they sent out Eddie who gave a thorough check of the AC Units and educated us on the situation before ultimately suggesting to get new ones. I wouldn’t contact anyone else other than SERVPRO to give me an opinion. I appreciate their honesty and professional opinion when it comes to the air quality in my home. This SERVPRO team was exceptional! They were professional, friendly, hard-working and very polite. They went above & beyond in helping to assist when we were dealing with the mess of flooding within our home. The fact that they travelled from Maryland to assist us in service-starved Texas after the freeze was greatly appreciated. A very great crew!
