Franklin Township is one of the nine townships of Marion County, Indiana, and has been absorbed into the city of Indianapolis. In the 1820 Franklin Township was organized and today is one of the last areas in the county to see heavy land development from the outward expansion of the city. Residents that enjoy golf have a short drive from their homes to The Links Golf Club. Built in 1972, The Links Golf Club was originally called Hoosier Links. The current owner bought the club in 1990 and renamed it. The course is an 18-hole champion golf course that delivers a challenge for every level of golfer.
