Rockwell City is a city in Calhoun County Iowa, With a population of 2,240. Rockwell City was founded in 1876. It is named for its founders, John M. Rockwell, and his wife Charlotte M. Rockwell. Since 2009, Rockwell City has hosted the annual "Sweet Corn Daze" festival, which typically takes place on the first weekend in August and includes a parade, vendors and events for the community.
