Riverdale is a city in Scott County, Iowa, United States. The population was 379 at the time of the 2020 census. Arconic has an aluminum rolling mill in Riverdale that employs approximately 2,000 people. The city is surrounded on three sides by the city of Bettendorf, and on the fourth by the Mississippi River. Riverdale is part of the Quad Cities metropolitan area. Shortly after the opening of the Louisiana Purchase and the exploration of the Iowa Territory, early settlers found the Mississippi Valley to be a great spot to settle down, plow up the land and start farming. The area that would become known as Riverdale was no exception. The “pleasant valley” that now makes up rural Bettendorf, Panorama Park, the Pleasant Valley “onion fields,” and Riverdale were no exception. By the mid 1840s, the house we know as “Crissey House” was built, making it the earliest permanent structure still standing in the community. Originally owned by Christopher Rowe, it eventually passed through the J.R. Nutting Family until it was purchased by Mr. and Mrs. John Crissey in 1937. Another old homestead in the community was the farmland and homes owned by the Welch family. Members of the Welch family worked farmland both on top of the hill and in the valley below from 1876 until the farm was finally sold in 2017.

We had a messy back-up incident in our basement that we discovered on a Sunday morning. Jason & his crew came out within a few hours of calling them & started the clean-up. It ended up being more extensive than we thought & involved significant remediation & repairs. Jason, Tim & their crew did a great job for us. They worked directly with our insurance company & were very responsive to our questions & concerns. Everyone was courteous & professional and took appropriate COVID precautions. They kept us informed along the way & showed up when they said they would. We are very happy with the results & would highly recommend using SERVPRO of Davenport/Bettendorf!

We had a septic back up and sump pump all go out at once, of course, on a late Friday afternoon. We called SERVPRO on Saturday morning with low hopes of being able to get anyone out due to weekend hours and scheduling, and not only could they get someone out that day, they came within about an hour and a half. The gentleman, David W., was the tech on service and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I feel he went above and beyond explaining things thoroughly, was very friendly, and had our best interest at heart. When he left, three other servicemen came out and they were equally friendly and knowledgeable. I feel like the water in the basement is just one thing I don't have to worry about, they have it covered. Peace of mind is definitely worth it. We are repeat customers and will continue using their services.
