Hau?ula is a rural community in the Ko?olauloa District of Honolulu, Hawaii. It is on the island of O?ahu, which is the state’s third-largest island. The community is small (about 1.2 square miles) with 0.77 miles of it being water (over 40%).
Hau?ula has several beaches and beach parks as well as a stunning reef that fringes the beaches. Parks include Hau?ula Beach Park, ?Aukai Beach Park, Kokololio Beach Park, and Mahakea Beach. The hiking trails include the 2.5-mile Hau?ula Loop trail that wraps along the side of the mountain, providing views of the coast and its protecting reef. The trailhead is also part of the Ma'akau Gulch and the Ma'akau Ridge hikes.
