Middleburg is a rural but wholesome little town in Clay County. Middleburg is know for its faith & ferry's. Until 1828, Asa Clark ran the first ferry on Black Creek. In the same year, Black Creek Methodist Church was founded by Isaac Boring. The Methodist Society met in their homes until the United Methodist Church was built in 1947.
