The small town of Lawtey owes its existence to the dreams of 30 Chicagoans who in 1877, came south to find a better life under the warm Florida sun. The name Lawtey was the son-in-law of one of the new residents. In 1885, 250 people lived in Lawtey which now boasted a school house, several stores, and a cotton gin. The population consist of 636 individuals, give or take a few. SERVPRO is here to serve all of Lawtey with any size water damage restoration and fire damage restoration. The city has received national attention and earned the dubious distinction of being one of only official speed traps known. The Grace United Methodist Church is one of the more popular places people like to visit in this city. As it is one of the many churches located here, the town is know for its old church's. Some give the town the name "ghost town" as it can be spooky with a small population and not a lot going on with the majority of buildings being outdated. These guys very were responsive to dry out and mitigate the affects of a long standing kitchen water leak. Quickly demolished the affected area removing contaminated kitchen cabinets and dry wall. Removed all mold. Rebuilt the kitchen "Like it never even happened." John, Jesse, Valentin and Norbert were diligent, responsive and professional! They should all get bonuses as they represented the SERVPRO brand very well.
