Jacksonville Beach is the southernmost of Jacksonville's three beach cities in Duval County. The settlement that predated Jacksonville Beach, founded in the late 19th century, was called Ruby Beach for the daughter of a railroad engineer that wanted to develop the beaches of Northeast Florida as a resort community for the Jacksonville and Atlantic Railroad (now Florida East Coast Railway). The name was changed to Pablo Beach when the town was incorporated in 1907, for the San Pablo River, and then changed its name to Jacksonville Beach in 1925. When the City of Jacksonville consolidated with Duval County in 1968, Jacksonville Beach voted to retain its own municipal government.
Jacksonville Beach is connected to the Southside neighborhood of Jacksonville by Beach Boulevard and to the San Pablo neighborhood and Mayo Clinic by Butler Boulevard (SR 202), which ends in southern Jacksonville Beach at (SR A1A), 3rd Street South. SR A1A is the seaside scenic route extending from Fernandina Beach to the north all the way south to Key West. A1A is Jacksonville Beach's main commercial corridor.
Jacksonville Beach has many commercial businesses, restaurants, and hotels. The comparative commercialization of Jacksonville Beach is probably owed to its boardwalk and amusement park roots of the early 20th century. The Jacksonville Beach Pier has been damaged or destroyed by hurricanes many times, most recently by Hurricanes Floyd and then Matthew. It has since been rebuilt and is currently open to the public.
Jacksonville Beach is also home to the Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corps, established in 1912. After 102 years of service, it became the only organization of its kind left in the United States. This community service has been accomplished through almost 1,500,000 hours of volunteer service by the over 4,000 members and alumni of the Volunteer Life Saving Corps. The Red Cross Volunteer Lifesaving Corps Station located at 2 Oceanfront North was built in 1947 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

What our Jacksonville Beach
customers are saying
Jabora and her crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. The other team that conducted the initial assessment the night we discovered the flood left me with many concerns because they did nothing that night to address the damage.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I've already recommended to one Insurance Agent, Friends, and Neighbors.
Brian, by the way, has been outstanding, he’s really on it! I’ve had a great experience.
Jake was very helpful and prompt. 10/10
We worked with SERVPRO from our home in Philadelphia -everyone was great to work with.
Nicest crews to work with during this tough time.
