Amelia Island is a part of the Sea Islands chain that stretches along the East Coast of the United States. It is the southernmost of the Sea Islands, and the northernmost of the barrier islands on Florida's Atlantic coast. Lying in Nassau County, Florida, it is 13 miles long and approximately 4 miles wide at its widest point. The communities of Fernandina Beach, Amelia City, and American Beach are located on the island. A single bridge connects this island to the city of Fernandina Beach.
Amelia Island was named for Princess Amelia, daughter of George II of Great Britain, and changed hands between colonial powers a number of times. It is claimed that eight flags have flown over Amelia Island: French, Spanish, British, Florida/Patriot, Green Cross, Mexican, Confederate, and United States. Today, this island is well known for its annual Shrimp Festival.

Just a note to thank the SERVPRO Team for your fast, professional and complete response to our water overflow issue we encountered on Nov. 20/19 when the exit hose from our washing machine became disconnected from its drain.
You were our first contact and arranged for a crew at our door in little over an hour—-exceptionally fast service.

Over the next few days, Jeremy and other members of his crew ( Stan and Michael ) checked in on us and kept track of progress.
I want to single out Jeremy as an excellent Crew Chief. From the moment we met him, we felt comfortable that he knew what he was doing and found him both professional and personable. He did what he said he would do and it was important to us that he stayed with us throughout the experience. Had a water line break underneath our condo. SERVPRO of Fernandina Beach/Jacksonville Northeast was impressive. Everyone was SUPER friendly and extremely professional. They were out to remediate the problem in no time at all, were back every single day to check on the status, and then remove the equipment. Due to their help, it didn't impact our rental bookings at all, and we couldn't be happier.
