Chatsworth, California is a suburban city located in the San Fernando Valley. The San Fernando Valley is an area in the northern portion of Los Angeles County.
Before Chatsworth was founded, it was inhabited by Native Americans. Proof of this can be found hidden in caves in
the area. The Native Americans left behind rock art in the walls of these caves scattered throughout the city. After the
Native Americans left, the Spanish founded Chatsworth in the 18th century, where they began to colonize the area. During
the Mexican-American war in the 19th century, the United States took control of the land and began to settle and develop
the area.
Chatsworth is home to the Iverson Movie Ranch and the Chatsworth Reservoir. The city became a backdrop for Hollywood movies,
specifically western movies due to the scenic backdrop. Due to its popularity within the film industry, the movie ranch was
built and has since been the filming site for over 2,000 movies. The Chatsworth Reservoir was built in 1918 as part of the
Los Angeles Aqueduct System, but was put out of service in 1969 due to algae concerns. However, despite being out of service,
the reservoir has become an open space full of nature that many people choose to visit. Chatsworth is also home to many parks
and hiking trails throughout the foothills of the city.
Chatsworth is known to have a hot, dry climate where the temperatures can reach 100 degrees at least in the summer. SERVPRO

Our master bathroom flooded and water poured down through the floor into the kitchen below. Gage from SERVPRO came out the same day and inspected the damage. He was able to start work on the demolition and drying out that same day. Gage was on time and answered all our questions and was very polite and professional.

A huge thank you to the SERVPRO of Chatsworth / Stevenson Ranch Team who serviced our house. Our house had a smoke damage, fortunately we called Scott Kellar and in a couple hours he arrived at our home with his professional team. They were very professional, polite and very helpful explaining the process of cleaning. The team at SERVPRO of Chatsworth / Stevenson Ranch met and went above my expectation of a restoration service. Scott Kellar and his team Patty, Cesar, Jesus, Esdras, and Louie were great, very helpful throughout the process and they did the impossible to accommodate us during this difficult time. We can’t thank them enough! Simply the best and highly recommend them.
I called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch after my husband and I hired a contractor to remodel our kitchen and he found black mold behind the walls. Due to previous water damage, we were unaware that the mold had grown. Scott came out and inspected the mold and after having it tested found that it could be harmful to our young children. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch was very concerned for our familys’ health and sectioned off that part of the house so that we would not breathe the mold in and completed the work very swiftly so we could get the use of our kitchen back and feel safe in our home. Patty and Amanda were very kind when we spoke to them during this stressful time and the work was even done while we were at work and the kids were at school. If you ever have mold, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch are the ones’ you want to deal with it!
These guys (Scott, John and Elias) knew what they were doing and worked for seven days straight to get the job done. They worked "safe"--masked and distanced-- and cleaned up each day. They were professional, helpful, and pleasant to have here.
As my insurance company hired SERVPRO, and Scott worked on the detailed contract directly with them, I didn't have to worry about the details.
