Italian Spring, Arizona was once a large community on the Colorado River. The town was built on water from the springs and continued to grow until a drought destroyed all vegetation in town. From here came the birth of the town we know today as Italian Spring, Arizona. A town was officially established in 1882, but it was not until 1860 that Italian Spring became known as a settlement for pioneers.
