Salem is located in North Central Arkansas on the east-west U.S. Highway 62/412 corridor. It is the county seat of Fulton County and has a Mayor-City Council form of government. Lake Norfork is a few short miles away, and it offers water skiing, swimming, fishing, and boating opportunities. The lake offers excellent striped bass fishing, with some of these monster fish weighing over 50 pounds! The lake is also good for largemouth, smallmouth and Kentucky bass fishing and the bays and backwaters are loaded with fast-biting bream and other panfish. Smallmouth bass fishing and canoeing are tops in the nearby South Fork River where you can fish leisurely and enjoy the spectacular scenery. It's also not far to White River, nationally known for its big rainbow and brown trout, or to Spring River and the Strawberry River. Wildlife abounds and the area is a popular Deer and Turkey Hunting area.
Fulton County Hospital located in Salem is an acute care hospital certified by CMS and licensed by the state as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency service and general diagnostic testing including clinical laboratory testing, general x-ray and CT. Ultrasound and MRI are provided on a scheduled basis.

SERVPRO developed an Emergency Ready Plan for the Flippin School District (a complete listing of every electrical, water and gas shutoff in the district and emergency numbers to each service) they included photos of the preferred entrance to the building and the shutoff itself. What a great service provided free of charge to the school districts! They provided each office with a hard copy as well as an app that contains the information. I can now carry this information with me (via the app) 24/7.
As OEM Director of Izard County, I requested SERVPRO (Bruce Sanders) to come and give their presentation to my fire chiefs after learning that they had more to offer that JUST clean up and clean carpets. Recently, late one Saturday evening, my wife made a trip to our basement to prepare a room for a weekend guest, to her surprise when she stepped off the stairs onto the floor she was in standing water. We discovered our water heater had ruptured, not sure how long it had been running. It was apparent that we did not have the ability to remove the water. I made a call to Mark Tyer and within minutes a service person called. And within an hour he was in the basement. They worked until about 1:00 AM on removing water and damaged carpet. They returned Sunday to check equipment, Monday again and began more detailed work in the drying process. We were very pleased with the help they gave us. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their service.
The team that worked on my house explained everything from the paperwork to the cleanup. They answered my questions whenever I asked.
